Frank Martínez
Es un artista cubano formado en la Escuela de Bellas Artes San Alejandro (1993) y en el Instituto Superior de Arte (2000). Miembro de la Unión Nacional de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC), su práctica se distingue por un manejo riguroso del grabado y la experimentación gráfica como medios de investigación estética y crítica.
En 2001 obtuvo el Premio La Joven Estampa de Casa de las Américas, reconocimiento que consolidó su lugar dentro de una generación de artistas que expanden los límites de la gráfica tradicional hacia lenguajes contemporáneos. Su obra combina precisión técnica con una mirada reflexiva sobre la memoria, el tiempo y las transformaciones sociales, estableciendo diálogos entre lo íntimo y lo colectivo.
Las obras de Martínez forman parte de importantes colecciones como el Consejo Nacional de Artes Visuales de La Habana, Casa de las Américas, la Fundación Antonio Pérez en España, el Museo de Arte Sheldon en Nebraska, el Centro Internacional de las Artes OMI en Nueva York y la Fundación Watch Hill en Londres, entre otras.

A member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), his practice is distinguished by a rigorous approach to engraving and graphic experimentation as means of aesthetic and critical research.
In 2001, he won the Casa de las Américas Young Print Award, a recognition that consolidated his place among a generation of artists who are expanding the boundaries of traditional graphic art toward contemporary languages. His work combines technical precision with a reflective view of memory, time, and social transformations, establishing dialogues between the intimate and the collective.
Martínez’s works are part of important collections such as the National Council of Visual Arts in Havana, Casa de las Américas, the Antonio Pérez Foundation in Spain, the Sheldon Art Museum in Nebraska, the OMI International Arts Center in New York, and the Watch Hill Foundation in London, among others.
